About the Artist

Born in London and rooted in Somerset, I came to painting through formal Fine Art training, then walked away from it for years. That distance turned out to be part of the work.

Returning to the canvas recently, something shifted. The precision of my training is still there, but it's in conversation now with something looser, more instinctive.

My paintings are bold, colourful celebrations of everyday life. The moments that flash by and stay with you; a glance, a gathering, a feeling caught mid-air. I paint my own experiences and those of my clients, working to capture something true about a moment and make it live on the wall.

Each piece is original, one of a kind, and part of an ongoing daily practice, a commitment to showing up and letting the work surprise me.

A Recent Exhibition

Studio Gee C x Swirl Sessions

On 19 September 2026, Studio Gee C held its first solo exhibition at the Collar Factory in Taunton, in collaboration with Swirl Sessions and paired with a five-wine tasting from South Africa's Doolhof Wines. As well as showing the new collection, a two-hour live painting was completed in front of guests, which was auctioned off by silent bid during the evening. Many paintings found new homes, and the live rosé wine-glass piece was such a hit that prints are now available here. A brilliant first show, and hopefully the first of many.
